Climate Change Australia
Climate Change Australia brings people together across the Port Macquarie Hastings region to support practical climate action, join climate-friendly events and campaigns, and promote positive local developments.
About us
Climate Change Australia formed in 2007 in response to concerns about local climate change inaction.
We support climate-friendly initiatives, encourage constructive public discussion, and help connect like-minded local residents. In recent years, we have:
lobbied Port Macquarie Hastings Council to keep its Climate Change Response Policy and declare a ‘climate emergency’
promoted and supported climate change events, campaigns, activities and positive developments in our region
held events that support climate action and bring community members together
lobbied candidates during elections to adopt climate-friendly policies and informed the community which candidates are serious about climate action.
Climate Change Australia is a vibrant community organisation that aims to make the world a better place for current and future generations.
